So this is me...
I was born in Jamaica, Queens NYC, but moved around quite a bit before staying put
in Cleveland, Ohio for my Junior High and High School days. I couldn’t have asked
for a better upbringing or better parents. My parents Rubens and Alice shaped the
values I keep and made me who I am today. I’m very close to my family, which includes
my 2 sisters, 2 half brothers, a step mom and 2 step brothers. I love them all and
feel blessed for their continued love and support.
After a brief shot at a baseball career and a few years of college life at Miami
University in Oxford Ohio, I jumped at an opportunity to do some modeling work and
moved back to New York a 22 year old man out on his own. When I arrived here I was
encouraged to take a few acting classes to broaden my range of marketability and
make me eligible for commercials and particularly some of the soaps that tape in
New York City. Class became my addiction. I found it to be a therapeutic outlet
for any anxiety and a place to just lose myself, as well as gain perspective by
walking in another man’s shoes and embodying that character.
I am grateful for all opportunities that I’ve had as a model, but as I continued
to grow as an actor both in class and with various on set opportunities there was
no doubt of my shift in priorities and mind set. I am an actor! Any further work
I do modeling or otherwise was, and is, used as a platform or bridge toward my goals
as an actor in TV and film. 2008 was very big year for me.
I married the love of my life and biggest supporter in all my endeavors, Amanda;
and soon after we welcomed to the world my son Corben. Now more then ever I approach
2009’s new year with tremendous optimism toward reaching my goals due to the hard
work and preparation I’ve put into my craft and the love and support from my now
even bigger family & my always helpful close knit group of friends. I am confident
in my abilities and full of hard work and passion I apply with every opportunity
I have to step in front of a camera. I am forever humbled by my son and the responsibilities
of being a loving and providing father, by my wife and the honor it is to be her
husband, by my family and their undying support, my amazing friends and support,
and anyone and everyone who goes out of there way on my behalf helping me achieve
my goals.
